Let’s make a Fun little wooden block photo frame…
Here are the supplies that you will need pictured below… you will also need your own photo to add. I also added 2 cute little flowers when I was finished.
This was such a fun & easy craft to make! I always have A LOT of scrap wood on hand for all sorts of projects… and I just let my creativity take over. As a person that LOVES to craft, you start to accumulate things over time, so I tend to ALWAYS have LOTS of little flowers, ribbon, raffia, etc… to embellish or decorate with, LOL.
The first thing I did was paint my little board in a dark gray color. (You can use any size board, just cut your burlap and picture to fit.) I let that dry, then I centered and glued down the piece of burlap, followed by the clothes pin at the top middle of the board. After that I glued on my 2 pretty flowers that I picked out, and I think that they matched perfectly!! Finally, just open up the little clothes pin and insert your own photo – and DONE! Super easy, super fun, and SUPER CUTE!

Family In Heaven distressed sign
I had a special request from a friend to make this block sign. I have seen them before, but had never actually made one. It was a challenge I was willing to take on since she had recently lost her grandma that she was VERY close to.
I knew the aprox size I wanted the blocks and base to be, so I put my hubby to work with the cutting and sanding. I went to work on my design studio on my Silhouette Cameo typing in the saying and coming up with a font that my girlfriend liked. Next, I had to find a rocking chair the right size to go with the sign. Hobby Lobby to the rescue once again! Found the perfect one back in the section where they sell doll houses… we found it in white, so had to paint it black – which was okay. Next, I painted the wooden base and blocks with white chalk paint, and distressed with a dry brush technique with black chalk paint. I normally paint my wooden signs, but this one was going to be tricky, so I decided to do the lettering with black matte vinyl. We used transfer tape for the placement, and I think it turned out perfect.
My friend absolutely LOVED her sign, and cherishes it to this day! I feel so blessed to be able to make things that bring joy to others lives! It makes my heart happy, when I can make others happy!

I adore this Love Grows Best distressed sign!
Who doesn’t love this saying? I grew up in a little house, with LOTS of love from my parents! I was incredibly blessed with the most loving parents! They were not rich with money, or things… but they were rich with love! I think this made me into the person I am today.
I picked up this wooden sign from Hobby Lobby, lol… where else? It was just the wood frame and plain white board. It did have the white paint already around the board, but I added a tiny bit of light blue/turquoise to it for a little extra bit of distressed color. I cut the out vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo, and placed it with some transfer paper. I still thought it needed something… hmmm, yes, flowers! (I usually always have some flowers and greenery around the house or in my craft room) So I added the 2 little flowers and greenery with my glue gun, and I totally LOVE how it turned out! I currently have this hanging in the hallway of our own little house that is filled with LOVE.

IN LOVE with my new shelf!
You guys, look at this shelf my sweet hubby made me! I showed him a pic of one that I liked and asked if he could make me one like it. This is what he made! I’M SUPER EXCITED!
He let me paint the shelf and bottom board white. I stained the main board a dark brown. The pegs I painted with a black chalk paint. Y’all know that I love anything distressed, so of course I had to add some distressing to my shelf! Going to post another pic below of the finished results. I used a different distressing technique than usual. I used a baby wipe and my white chalk paint to wipe on a distressed look.
I have changed the decor out already A TON on this shelf, lol! I literally change up the decor for every holiday and season, which makes this shelf the perfect addition to my craft addiction, LOL… I am sooo IN LOVE with how this shelf turned out!

DIY – CUTE Shabby Chic, lace earring holder
OK, you guys know that I love picking things up from thrift stores, garage sales, hand me downs, etc… This is such a great way to save money, to get creative & to have a lot of fun!
I enjoy making so many different things. I learned about a year ago to make faux leather earrings with my Silhouette Cameo. WOW! What a game changer! It saved me some money by making my own, and also made me money by selling them at the same time! When my coworkers saw mine, they of course wanted me to make some to sell. Well, when you have that many earrings, you definitely need something cute to hold them… am I right?
I chose an old picture frame that I picked up at a thrift shop several years ago. I spray painted it white, and used some sand paper to rough it up a little bit. I used some lace that I purchased at Joanne’s Fabric, it was a bag that had about 6-8 different styles of lace. I stapled the lace to one side of the back of the frame, and just pulled it across the back tightly, then stapled it to the other side of the back of the frame. I did this several times, so that I could have several different rows of lace to hang my earrings from.
Be creative, and don’t be afraid to try new things! I had not seen this done before, but in my mind I knew I was going to LOVE it! It gives you a super cute storage idea for all of your faux leather earrings!
